SugarBearHair Vitamins | Do They Really Improve Hair Growth?

Hi loves, today I will be doing a short review on the Sugar Bear Hair Vitamins. The opportunity of retrying them came about, after previously using them. I wanted to share my experience with these gummies and my expectations of them now I am trying them for a second time.

I was sent a 1-month supply of the gummies for free, as I have previously purchased from the company (this was NOT PR!). Personally, I feel it is extremely kind of Sugar Bear Hair to send customers a free bottle of vitamins and it gives me great pleasure in dealing with them. This makes me more likely, as a consumer, to buy from them again in the future and see if they will still work for me, as they did before.

About Sugar Bear Hair

Sugar Bear hair has been around for the last 16 months and since launching has been a HUGE success. There are many promoters of the gummies, such as the Kardashians/Jenners and lots of well known celebrities. However, just because a brand has such good advertising with celebrities, does not mean the product will be good. For a company that only launched last March, they are doing incredibly well and are the number 1, best selling hair supplement.

What makes Sugar Bear Hair vitamins different from the rest is they are the first ‘gummy’ type of hair supplement on the market, and do not taste like usual supplements do. If you have experience hair vitamins, or vitamins in general, you know the nasty aftertaste which makes you regret taking them. These gummies taste like REAL gummy bears, and they are gluten free, soy free, free of artificial sweeteners or flavours, and above all else, cruelty free.

Sugar Bear Hair Claims

The company claims these gummies can do the following:

  • Help grow your hair longer and stronger
  • Stop hair from breaking
  • Increase strength of hair
  • Improve elasticity of hair
  • Nourish hair from within
  • Improve overall health

The ingredients list is as follows:

The reason these hair gummies could work so well is the amount of great are the high levels of Biotin, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, and Vitamins B-6 & B-12. All of these are known for their amazing benefits to hair. Also, these ingredients aren’t just good for hair heath, but also for helping nail growth and skin improvement. Most ‘Hair, Skin and Nail’ supplements contain the same ingredients, so you could see an overall improvement in health by taking these vitamins, though there is no guarantee.

NB: It should be remembered that not all supplements work for all individuals and it depends on your health and lifestyle, whether this product would work for you. There are many factors to consider and if you are pregnant or have an intolerance to Biotin (or any of the ingredients shown above), it is advised you do not take these supplements.

My Experience With Sugar Bear Hair

My first order from Sugar Bear Hair was in mid March 2016 (a few weeks after launch). I had ordered a 3-month supply of the vitamins and thoroughly enjoyed taking them, due to the taste, and the results I was seeing. My second order of a 3-month supply in June. So I was taking these gummies on a six month period, from April to September 2016. This second order came with a hairbrush and my most recent order came with a hair tie, both free! P.S: six month supply orders come with a travel bag and a brush, too.

Within the first 2-3 weeks of taking the vitamins, I noticed a great improvement in my hairs texture. I also seen a change in the thickness of my hair. My hair is normal to thin, though I have a LOT of strands of hair and it quite frizzy (classed as 1C hair type). My hair wet from in between normal-thin to normal-thick, and even though I have not taken the gummies since September, my texture has not changed back.

Another thing to note is, I did see a good amount of growth over this period. I had my hair cut to armpit length from hip length, in October 2015 and told myself I was going to oil my hair every week and it would grow back in a matter of months. However, I didn’t keep up with this routine, and by March my hair was bra strap length (as pictured below). This shows my hair had only grown around 2 inches in the space of 6 months. I don’t usually notice my hair growth, as I’ve always kept my hair long, but this shocked me.

After going 6 months on Sugar Bear Hair, my hair had grown to waist length, around 6 inches longer! I believe this is due to the supplements and my growth rate tripled by taking the vitamins. It should also be pointed out, I still have a lot of new hair growth (hair that was never there before) around my hairline and throughout my scalp overall.

I also noticed that my nails were not breaking as much as they used to before, however, they are quite prone to breaking now. So I am excited to see if there is improvement on my nails, as there was before. Skin wise, I have always had quite clear skin, I get occasional spots on my chin (due to hormone imbalance) though vitamins would not prevent this.

Expectations this time around

After seeing such great, long lasting improvement for my hair. I am hoping this will give my hair the final boost it needs to get to my goal length – tailbone length. Six months on from taking Sugar Bear Hair, my hair is currently in between hip length and tailbone length. I am hoping to grow my hair a few inches longer than tailbone length then chopping off my dry/damaged ends and fully taking care of my hair at tailbone length. Overall, I am wanting to grow 5 more inches of hair, to make this possible. However, I know that this is not possible in 1 month. Improvement on the condition of my hair is also desired and I hope my ends may become more nourished and less dry.

I will be using the supplements (2 gummies daily for 30 days) along with weekly oil treatments throughout the month of August. There will be a short update in a future follow up post to share my experience during this time and any thoughts or changes in my perceptions of Sugar Bear Hair vitamins will be noted.

I hope you enjoyed this brief (but still long) review of these vitamins and please stay tuned for the follow up at the end of the month. If you have tried these gummies and would like to share your thoughts, leave me a comment below. Also, if you have any questions or concerns, please do contact me, either by commenting or via email and I would be more than happy to help.

Much love, S 💋 xo
